Eliza L. Walker Succumbs At 73

      AHSAHKA - Death took Eliza Leona Walker, 73, at 10:45 p.m. Sunday at the Arcadian Rest Home at Greer, where she had been a patient the last two and one-half months. She had been bed ridden since suffering the first of several strokes 15 months ago. She died of cerebral hemorrhage.
      Mrs. Walker was the wife of Tom Walker, Clearwater County commissioner for many years, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Q. Holladay, pioneer Teakean family.
      She was born Feb. 15, 1880, at Carrolton, Mo., and came to this area with her parents in 1886 after a short residence near Spokane. The family homesteaded at Teakean. She married Tom Walker at Myrtle Creek, Ore., on Aug. 12, 1908, and had lived at Ahsahka the last 45 years.
      Survivors include her husband of Ahsahka; a daughter, Mrs. C. V. Dodge, Ahsahka; two sister, Mrs. Anna Warren of Alberta, Canada, and Mrs. Bertie Brown, Lenore; and five grand-children.
      Services will be held at Gilbert’s Chapel in Orofino at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. James M. Lane, Peck Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery.
